Terms and conditions


These conditions apply to all reservations made on the website bochalet.ca.


1. Pricing and fees


Base price


Prices vary depending on the season, demand, day of the week and number of occupants.


The price shown is based on 4 people occupying the property. For each additional person beyond the 5th, a supplement per person per night may apply, depending on the property.


Babies and children under 2 years old stay free of charge.


No commission fees are added to travellers who book directly on bochalet.ca.



Additional person fees


An additional charge, generally ranging from $50 to $75 per night, may be applied for each additional guest.


This pricing structure allows for more advantageous rates for small groups while taking into account the additional costs associated with higher occupancy.



Cleaning fees


A complete cleaning is carried out after each stay.


Fees may vary depending on:


  • the size of the property
  • the amenities offered
  • available equipment



Transaction fees


Payments made by credit card may include transaction fees charged by the secure payment provider.



Management fees


For certain properties, particularly condos or apartments, management fees may be added to cover certain costs related to operating a tourist residence.



Taxes


The following taxes are added to the total cost of the stay:


  • Accommodation tax: 3.5% (CITQ / Revenu Québec)
  • TPS : 5 %
  • QST: 9.975%



2. Payment and security deposit


Payment for the reservation


100% payment of the stay is required to confirm the reservation.


This payment allows you to reserve the property and block the dates on the calendar.



Security deposit


A security deposit of at least $1000 may be held on the tenant's credit card to cover breakage or damage.


The tenant must complete the requested information within 48 hours of receiving the request.


In case of damage, the costs of repair or replacement may be deducted from this deposit.



3. Modifying a reservation


Change in the number of guests


Additional guests must be declared.


Additional charges may apply if the number of guests exceeds 4 people.


No refund will be given if the number of guests is reduced after booking.



Date changes (regular season)


Dates can be changed up to 30 days before arrival.


A change may result in a price adjustment if the new dates correspond to a busier period.


If the price is lower, no refund will be given.



Changes during peak season


For stays during:


  • the holidays (December 20th to January 5th)
  • the summer season (July 15 to August 30)


Changes must be requested at least 90 days prior to arrival.



4. Cancellation Policy


Regular Season


Cancellation within 24 hours of booking

  • Free cancellation.


More than 60 days before arrival

  • Fee of 10% of the total booking amount


Between 31 and 60 days before arrival

  • 50% of the stay is retained


Less than 30 days before arrival

  • 100% of the stay is non-refundable


The security deposit is refunded if it has been collected.


Credit card transaction fees are non-refundable.


High season


For stays between:


  • December 20th and January 5th
  • July 15th and August 30th


Any cancellation made less than 90 days before arrival will result in the loss of 100% of the stay.



Refunds


Refunds are made via Interac e-Transfer.



5. Exceptional situations


BoChalet can relocate travelers to an equivalent property if the one booked becomes unavailable.


If no equivalent property is available, the stay will be refunded in full.


BoChalet is not responsible for temporary service interruptions such as:


  • Internet
  • television
  • water
  • electricity
  • phone



6. Breakage and damage


The tenant must report any damage immediately.


The costs of repair or replacement may be charged to the tenant or deducted from the security deposit.



7. Conditions of stay


Access to property


Access is via a combination lock.


Instructions are sent 2 days before arrival.



Period of calm


The quiet period is between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.


Some properties are equipped with noise sensors to ensure respect for the neighborhood.



Spa


Guests must keep the water clean and clear.


The use of glass in the spa is prohibited.


Cleaning fees may apply if necessary.



Parties and events


Parties and events are strictly prohibited.


Immediate eviction may be applied in cases of significant nuisance.



Animals


Animals are not allowed unless otherwise stated for certain properties.



Tobacco


All properties are non-smoking.



Minimum age


The minimum age to make a reservation is 30 years old.



Waste and sewage


Garbage and recycling must be deposited in the designated bins.


Only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet.



Outdoor lights


Fires are permitted only in designated areas.


They must be monitored at all times and switched off no later than 11 p.m.



Security cameras


Some properties are equipped with outdoor cameras located at the entrances.



Tenant's responsibility


The tenant is responsible for the property and their guests.


In case of non-compliance with the rules, BoChalet may terminate the rental and evict the occupants without refund.
